This is the first time that I have documented my daily outfits. I found it a really interesting exercise for a few reasons. Firstly, I actually thought about what I was going to wear each day, instead of grabbing the same pair of jeans that were lying on the floor from the day before, and throwing on a clean shirt and underwear. (Not that that ever happens!) I've also pulled out some items that don't get worn much, and given them an airing in an attempt to wear completely different outfits every day.

By really looking at what I wear each day, I have gotten a better idea of what looks better on me. I've also been looking at wardrobe gaps, and thinking of ways that I can improve my winter wardrobe. I have ideas in my head about what I should do, but have the ongoing issue of not enough time. If I can at least come up with enough time to draw up some designs, then maybe some sewing might get done. I also have plans to do some refashioning or alterations on some of the things that I wore this month.

I did struggle a little trying to make every outfit different, and you may not be able to tell, what with all my similar jeans and tops, but every outfit was unique during the month.

Will I participate in Me-Made-May again? I don't see why not. Maybe next year I'll have some of those wardrobe gaps filled in, or maybe it will just be a rehash of all the same outfits that I've shared with you this year, but let's hope it's the former, not the latter.

  1. You can see that all your outfits are different and you did an excellent job in doing so. Like you, I also had to think what I was going to wear instead of pulling out the favourite/easy combinations.

    1. I'm so glad that I got through the month. I'm back to just pulling on whatever is on the top of the pile though. Oh winter, you're so hard to dress for!

  2. Wonderful selection of garments - I am impressed you can get through a month with such varied outfits. I'm still building up to MMM, but next year I hope to have enough to join you in this event :)

    1. I'm glad my wardrobe looks varied, I find colder weather so hard to dress for. I much prefer sewing summer clothes, but have been working on trying to get more me-mades into my winter wardrobe.
